Laura studied at the University of Westminster, followed by completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law. She initially worked within a Fortune 500 American Global firm in London, where she was a key member of a team managing a three year negotiation process, creating a unique and historical cross-business European Works Council Agreement. This agreement provides for representations for employees in multiple European countries from all businesses, representing a workforce of approx. 100,000 employees. She joined Gepp & Sons on qualifying as a solicitor in November 2017 working within the Employment and Dispute Resolution Departments where she undertakes all aspects of employment law and dispute resolution acting for both businesses and individuals.
Laura advises on contentious and non-contentious matters, including employment documentation, workplace issues and policies, data protection, settlement agreements, investigations, grievances, restructuring and redundancies.
Laura advises on all matters relating to dispute resolution work. Her work includes advice on debt collection, landlord and tenant disputes, contentious probate and dilapidation disputes.
Laura is able to relate naturally and confidently to a wide range of people, to understand their needs, influence and empathise, and be able to communicate how she can help. This includes both colleagues and clients, and written communication as well as face-to-face or over the phone.
Laura is pragmatic in her commercial awareness, staying up-to-date on the latest legislative changes and other relevant developments so she understands and appreciates both the big picture as well as the detail that matters when advising clients.
