Yesterday I attended Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford to address visiting students from Beauchamps High School on the art of revising for that all important job interview. They spend weeks if not months revising for their exams but so little time revising for job interviews. The half hour talk covered the importance of researching the business, what they do and where they are going. Also what are the firms mission statements and corporate social responsibility program – in other words what the business does in the community. This will give the student the upper hand over others as they will be able to tailor their interview answers.
