Not quite in the ‘Gareth Bale’ league… but still a fantastic result.

30 July 2014

Last years event raised just under £49,000 for the wonderful children’s charity ‘PARC’. Based in Great Notley, the ‘Play and Resource Centre’ (PARC) provides much needed support to around 480 families with children suffering from many different physical and mental disabilities. www.parc-essex.co.uk

This years event smashed last year target with an incredible total of just under £60,000 (that’s 2 days salary for the above). Thanks to the many thousands of visitors along with some great trade stands and generous sponsors, the event has gone from strength to strength.

Two rings packed with every conceivable breed and size of dog battled it out in a variety or competitive classes. BBC’s Dave Monk and local award winning turkey producer Paul Kelley mastered the rings to a very high standard.

Special thanks got to a number of key sponsors who without their help the final target would not have been achieved…

Shepherd Neame for their donation of a brewery tour with luxury return transport from Essex Limos complementing this unique raffle prize. A very generous donation of all the events printing needs from ReproHouse as well as PL insurance from Andrew Thompson Associates.

This was truly a great result for a very special charity. If you would like to know more about PARC or wish to be involved in next years event please contact Spencer Davis at daviss@gepp.co.uk or visit www.essexdogday.co.uk
