On Russell Crowe’s 54th birthday and what would have been his 15th wedding anniversary the New Zealand actor decided to have a bit of a clear out.
In a recent article published by the BBC Russell Crowe held his "Art of Divorce" auction – a sort of parting of the wares – in Sydney.
Pre and post separation from singer Danielle Spencer in 2012, he accumulated a hoard of personal movie memorabilia.
Amongst many lots his torso armour from Gladiator smashed expectations, making $125,000.
The sale at Southeby’s was expected to reach circa $2.3m (£1.6m)
