Supporting Charities

Donating, sponsoring, or just getting stuck in. At Gepp Solicitors, we support national and local charities in all kinds of ways.

We have been part of the local community for over 250 years and the firm has a Corporate Social Responsibility team that are actively taking the lead in the firm on fundraising activities for local and national charities. Here are a few things Gepp Solicitors have been involved with in the last couple of years:

Alzheimer’s Society

The Chelmsford Branch of the Alzheimer’s Society is the current staff chosen charity since 2020.The charity provides information and support, improves care, funds research, and creates lasting change for people affected by dementia, particularly in the local Chelmsford area. Fundraising has not been easy during 2020 but it is still considered important by the firm and plans are in place for socially distanced events to start.

CHESS

CHESS (Churches Homeless Emergency Support Scheme) was the charity chosen by Gepp Solicitors staff for two years in a row. CHESS provide much needed support to the homeless people of Chelmsford. In addition to funds raised during the firm’s monthly dress down Friday, various fundraising events are held during the year to support this great cause.

MIND (South East Essex and Central Essex) is the Partners chosen charity for 2019. MIND supports mental health awareness in the workplace as well as the local community. In addition to funds raised during Gepp Solicitors monthly dress down Friday, various fundraising events are held during the year to support this great cause.

Eastern Legal Support Trust (ELST)

The ELST raises funds and awareness for the most vulnerable members of society who are unable to afford legal support. Funds are distributed to organisations that support those who need legal advice and assistance, giving them access to justice. Gepp Solicitors have proudly raised funds for the ELST by taking part in the Great Legal Bake as well as the Chelmsford Legal Walk.

Beresfords Dash for Cash

Staff at Gepp Solicitors took part in, and volunteered as stewards at, the Beresfords’ Dash for Cash, a 3 mile fun run around Chelmsford, in aid of Lord Taverners (Essex Region). Lord Taverners is a sports charity which is dedicated to giving disadvantaged and disabled young people the chance to play, train, compete, learn, have fun and make friends through sports.
