Probate & Administration
Probate is the authority to deal with a deceased person's estate. When someone has died and left a will, the executors of the estate apply to the court for this authority.
We can assist in applying for a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration ( used when no will has been made) by:
- Advising on terms of deceased Wills, or applying the intestacy rules if there is no Will
- Preparing A Schedule of Assets and Liabilities in the deceased estate
- Completing HM Revenue & Customs forms including claiming the transferable Nil Rate Band
- Contacting and Tracing Beneficiaries
- Preparation of the Oath for submitting to the Probate Registry
- Finalising Tax Affairs
- Distributing the estate in accordance with the Will
