Steven heads the Family Law Team at Gepp & Sons. He joined the firm in 1982 and qualified as a solicitor in 1984. He became a partner in 1988. For almost 30 years Steven has specialised in family law and he has gained considerable expertise and a maturity of approach which helps him to achieve excellent outcomes for his clients and their families.

He has considerable experience in all aspects of family law but in recent years has developed specialisms in the preparation of Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Co-habitation disputes and financial settlements on divorce; particularly those involving significant and complex assets such as Trusts, businesses and high net-worth clients.

Steven's approach is non-confrontational and is designed to help clients to achieve agreements with their spouse or partner, wherever possible. Only as a last resort does he undertake contested proceedings but in those cases he is happy to represent his clients himself as an able and experienced advocate.

Steven is a member of Resolution (a national association of Family Lawyers) and he is accredited by Resolution as an expert in private law children matters and co-habitation disputes.

Steven's clients value his pragmatism and ability to see the bigger picture which often results in settlements which meet the needs of his clients whilst enabling them to achieve a dignified and cost effect solution to their problems. Steven believes that his empathy and experience help him to understand his clients' needs and to meet their aspirations in a straight forward manner.

In his spare time he enjoys gardening (or sitting in the garden!), walking and cooking.
